I hate acorns!

When will these dang acorns sour? I had great activity at all my feeders and now not a deer to be found. I have oats coming up and they normally eat it up, I saw 3 deer at 500 yards and they were just crossing. Time to spot and stalk maybe?

I had the same problem this year. You could try dumping a bunch of Acorn Rage and Apple Crush near your feeder and make a trail of the stuff leading to it. Academy Sports has both of them on sale right now. I went from seeing a bunch of deer on my cameras to nothing at all. Seriously frustrating!!!! They were staying off to the sides of my shooting lane and browsing for acorns. But the stuff seemed to bring some back to the feeder. Hope this helps you out.

Awesome! What did you end up putting out to draw them back in again? I was supposed to get out this week and this Monday but the vehicle is going to end up back in the shop again and I don’t think they will have a loaner vehicle back by tomorrow that I can use. So depressing lol. I also found out today that I need to get a new bow sight which is going to set me back a bit lol. But at least I will be able to get out to the archery club and range in the new sight so that’s a plus! Good luck this weekend!!!!

That's a toss up. Which of the 10 billion oak trees that has 10 billion acorns each to hunt.

I'm hunting down around Fort Hood and we just didn't have that great of a acorn crop this year.

I put out the acorn rage pellets. Academy was out so I bought the rage powder AND the apple crush. It’s out now, going hunting in the morning!

Glad it worked for you. Hope you get a deer today and let me know how your hunt goes please. I am finally getting out again tomorrow for a late morning to evening hunt on the last day to get a doe. My hunting buddy has off from work from Wednesday till the following Wednesday so I will be getting out more so we can hunt together. I am hoping that he gets his first crossbow deer this season. He just purchased his first crossbow a month ago and is spot on when shooting at his targets. Good luck!

Well I guess I had the dates wrong and Doe season ends today so I will be heading back out Wednesday instead to hunt with my buddy. But there is always muzzleloader season and the second rut so I can just get a couple of Doe's then.
