Repurposing old bow

Last week i was in Chicago installing a laminate floor for my in laws, while we were moving stuff around we found my father-in -laws old Ben Pearson pro staff 2000, a quiver, and a fistful of arrows. He gave it to me, and it was quite apparent that it is important to him that I actually use it. So I was thinking to convert it to a dedicated bow fishing rig. So anyone know where (in the dfw area)I can get cables and a new string made for it. My bow shop in Alvarado will do a string but was wishy washy on the cables.
