I need help picking arrows for wife's new bow. - 11/25/16 05:11 PM

Bought my wife a diamond prism. Her DL is set at 23.5". I plan to cut arrows at 24.5". Going to start at 25lb And hopefully work up to 40lb pull.

Would the Carbon Express Predator 2 800 be a good spine?
100gr or 85gr points?

Thanks for your help.

Me, I would get the arrows that will work at the weight she plans to try to max out at. Stiff arrows are easier to manage than under spined arrows. Chances are she isn't going to be hunting until her draw weight increases so I would buy the ones for then. I personally would go with 100 grain heads but then again, the more I learn about FOC weight and heavier arrows I understand how they get better penetration that way.

I would go with 500s and 100gr cut on contact broadheads when the time for hunting rolls around. Know a few ladies and kids that are doing well with that combo at draw weights of 35 to 41lbs while keeping their shots inside 25 yards.
