Nose Jammer!! Wow!!

Nose Jammer!! Wow!! - 10/03/16 01:19 PM

Have y'all heard about this stuff yet!? I used it Sunday, and I'm sold on it. A little info how we used it. A buddy of mine hunted his pop up with the feeder down wind at 25 yards (which I told him not to do). He used the Nose Jammer spray for both hunts on Sat. He shot a doe Sat afternoon when it was 85+ degrees. I got busted by scent on Sat afternoon from my ground blind twice. It happened to be about 85 where I was, and sure, I was hot. So he let me use it on Sunday morning. I sprayed me down a little and sprayed the bushes and tree next to me. I had a deer right behind me down wind about 15 yards, and they came into the feeder. I had the 2 bachelor bucks come in right next to me about 5 yards away from down wind. After the Sat afternoon hunt being so hot, I'm sure I wasn't as "clean" or scent free as I'd like. This Nose Jammer stuff has worked for me perfect for the Sun morning hunt. Oh, and my buddy who loaded me his spray Sun morning, got busted twice Sun morning! He wanted his can back. I was shocked and surprised it worked so well. Even though I have only used it once, it worked great. And the few hunters I have talked to ab out it love it also.

I used it on Ft Hood and still got busted multiple times when they approached from behind me. The deer out there are very skittish though.

Oh man I saw this and cracked up.

I pretty much never use cover scents other than an occasional Fresh Earth or Cedar wafer. I do shower, spray down and wear scent loc from head to toe....and still get busted especially early season when you sweat like crazy in the 90 degree evening heat. Well a doctor friend of mine hunts the early season looking more like he's headed out for a quick 18 holes than trying to fool the nose of a whitetail....tennis shoes, shorts, leafy mesh jacket over army green golf shirt and his lucky Hoyt ball cap. He absolutely never gets busted and has killed some great bucks the first couple of weeks of the season more than a few times. He finally told me he had been using Nose Jammer since it had come out. Well with the forecast calling for light swirling winds and 90+ temps I said WTH I was going to give it a try especially since not too many good bucks are showing up on camera right now.

Well I never even looked at the ingredients of the stuff and I get in my tree and read the instructions and go to spraying the limbs around my perch and WTF! I smell like I'm in a cotton candy machine or something! I'm thing I might as well get down and go in. That M*#*$#ing Doc must be effing with me and playing a joke. I'm sitting there without an arrow even nocked and I hear something walking from dead down wind and 3 doe walk within 5 yards from the tree I'm in and on to the feeder pen. Other deer filter in and at least 4 more of them from the same down wind direction.

That was opening weekend and I've used it every hunt since with pretty much the same results. A doe and fawn seemed to have busted me this past weekend but I had just got in the stand and sprayed and they came out 150 yards down a pipeline and didn't just blow out of there just kinda quickly high tailed it back into the woods. 30 minutes later they came out 25 yard from me downwind. Nothing is fool proof but I'm going to keep using it until I get blown like they've seen a grizzly bear....or smelled a fat sweaty man in a tree. grin

Ok, sucked in and got a bottle.....stuff worked GREAT!!! We had a spike come in from dead down wind and never smelled us. We climbed down out of the ladder stand and last light and the same spike and a doe were walking 25 yards down wind of us without a care in the world.

I'm going to give it a shot. I was also getting busted beginning of the season and have used evercalm the last few times out with good results as well. I will give this stuff a shot too though

Use it all the time on hogs, there noise is second to none, use with earth scent and you will do a lot better.

Re: Nose Jammer!! Wow!! - 11/30/16 04:22 AM

Yeah I have heard that if you spray too much of the stuff then it won't work but for most who use it right, it seems to really work well. I am planning on using it this winter on a ground hunt with my recurve for hogs. I use an Ozonics in my blind while deer hunting and I get deer coming in 20 feet from my blind while I am dipping Skoal lol. But the Ozonics won't fool the hogs. So I am going to give the spray can of Nose Jammer a try this winter.

If you think that stuff works great you need to get ozonics. Light wind or breeze I don't even have to worry about anymore. Better than any spray out there, I still use spray and wash my clothes.

A buddy of mine swears by this stuff since he used it a month ago to kill a nice buck. He has killed plenty of other nice bucks in the past without it though.

Re: Nose Jammer!! Wow!! - 12/26/16 07:22 AM

Well I left the Ozonics in my backpack and gave the Nose Jammer spray a try on two hunts and it worked awesome!!!! I sprayed a line of it under the front sliding windows, put a quick spray on a tree on each side of the blind and on the tree behind my blind. We had two doe's walk in down wind on the road right in front of us and continued to walk towards us without getting spooked. They came within 20 feet of us and then walked in to the trees on the left. Then the second time out we had the wind pick up and started balling around which was going to shut the area down for the day. Well we had a hog come right over to the right front area of the blind and decided to lay down 15 feet N/W of us and never even caught wind of us. We were dipping, had the lids off the spittoons and didn't even have our scent lok face masks or hats on. When I bought the Ozonics set up from the archery shop, the guy in the shop let me know that it works great for deer but he hasn't had good luck with it on hogs and he said that he does the complete scent lok ritual and still gets busted. Last year we were hunting at night from my blind and hunting hogs 40 yards out over the feeder with my sniper hog lights system set up that lights up the feeder area and the hogs still got wind of us while using the Ozonics. I am also a hunter who would go completely scent free, wear all the scent lok clothing and hunt from a climbing tree stand or a ground set up with tree branches placed in front of my area close to a trail. I hunted like that for decades up north in MA and NH where your usual shot distance is under 30 yards and would never do stuff like dip Skoal while hunting because you have to get close since the woods are so thick up there. I would use baking soda for toothpaste till they came out with the scent killer toothpaste and everything would go in plastic bags after being washed. I couldn't believe how well this Nose Jammer stuff works. I told my buddies up north about it and they told me that our buddy up there has been using the stuff this season and filling his deer tags. My blind is a 4x8 blynd (Texas company) on their 5ft tower and the home made road on the property goes down at a small gradual slope so the feeder is at the same height as the windows in the front of the blind so animals can catch our scent pretty easy. The feeder sits 40 yards away where the road meets a crossroad running left to right. The wind will usually run north or south where the blind is and sometimes it will swirl around with strong gusts. The deer get hunted hard from others around the neighborhood so you have to be on your A game when hunting out there. But the Ozonics works awesome for deer hunting in Centerville Texas where we hunt and can even kill the scent of Skoal and spit in a bottle lol. I am totally sold on this Nose Jammer stuff and I should be able to get my chance at a hog at close range with my recurve on the ground this winter while hunting at night. I ended up buying two more bottles of the stuff and gave them to my buddies who own the land. Just don't spray too much of the stuff and you won't spook the animals.

Here is my blind set up. It's 40 yards to the feeder where I took the picture from. This picture was taken during the early season and by the middle of gun season, the trees have lost all their leaves and it's pretty bare around the area.
