I'm curious as to what some of y'alls opinions on the NoCam technology are. Do y'all think they had enough success to continue the NoCam? I know its all speculation as to where they will go next, and everyone has their opinion on if it was beneficial or not. I guess what I'm asking is thoughts on it and would you like them to keep going or go back to solo cam?

Too slow, too top heavy. I don't see it being a long run.

As slow as it is what's the purpose of a no cam?

Smooth, easy draw. Quiet, shock free release. For people who have trouble breaking over hard cams or with shoulder issues.

I got my 18 year old son his first bow this summer and he chose the mathews no cam over all the others. Go over to the bowsite and you will see lots of bowhunters there wanting to get back to quiet, smooth shooting bows. Accuracy and silence has, does and will always be the two main factors in a bow/hunter that kills game. NO BOW on the market today fills that order like the mathews no cam. I know, I shot them all this summer also and ONLY because I wanted to stay different than my kiddo I went with the elite synergy. But the no cam was the smoothest shooting bow of all. If you practice year round with your bow (now there a foreign concept to today's "bowhunter") the speed is negligent. This speed thing confuses me. Until I got the elite this summer I have shot selfbows/longbows sense 1994. A BLAZING 160-175 fps is what I have been accustomed to. Never had a problem . But, even the no cam and the elite synergy are not as quiet as my more primitive weapons. Silence is deadly! I cannot believe how heavy these bows are today though. That sucks! I just toted my elite around Montana for my elk hunt and that was something I had to get use to. 5 lbs or so compared to 1.5 lbs with my longbows. I hear they are coming out with a new no cam that is a little faster. The speed demons will like that.

All in all its a game changer imo.

If you look at this years bow reviews many are slower but smoother than last years offerings. Lets face it, there has been more game taken with bows that do not approach 300fps than those that do. I will take a quite smooth bow that is easy to draw and shoot over a loud fast bow any day and so will a lot of other hunters.

But they make bows that are both.

True, but you know there are those that will only shoot a Mathews. Myself well, it comes down to is this the bow that feels best to me and is it in my price range?

The no-cam reminds me of 1980s cams with todays limb and riser design
