Cable Guard Rod Question

Cable Guard Rod Question - 09/28/15 04:18 AM

So I busted out my old Fred bear compound bow and shot last week. Entered a competition yesterday and held my own with some great shooters. I was shooting great until after the competition I was actually just shooting at the practice targets for fun and I began to notice my arrows began to dance a little in flight. some side to side action as well as up and down. I inspected the bow a little more and noticed the cable guard rod seemed to have inched over and I believe a fletching was hitting the a cable. My question is, being an adjustable cable guard rod (it adjusts with an Allen's head) where should this rod be sitting? We will say As far as possible from the arrow would be 3 o'clock. I have it in between 1 and 2 o'clock right now but have not shot it since I adjusted it because I don't want a string jumping a cable or anything. Your help is appreciated!!!

When you get tired you torque.

A lot of guys who have bows with straight cable rods, have started using Angled rods.
