Ground blind question

Ground blind question - 08/31/15 02:32 AM

I want to bow hunt my lease this year. Is it too late to build dome ground blinds or put up a tripod? I'm thinking of build ground blinds that I can place my popup to insure it's brushed in.

I think you will be fine, more so with a natural blind build. I use a pop up and it takes them a while to get use to the smell and noise of one. Best of luck

Depends on the xeer. On our place it only takes a few days at most.

You will be fine. Go ahead and get it out.

I've set my popup and hunted it the same day and killed deer.

Almost the same here, except it was the next day. And I've had better luck not brushing it in. I just back it up to a thick spot. Bucks never paid no mind to it, but does would come from over a 100 yards to just check it out.

West Texas deer never seemed to mind it as the East Texas deer. They ALL certainly took a look when coming through though.

We do brush them in but they really don't seem to pay much attention to them once they are in.
