NAF wait times - 01/29/24 02:49 PM

i know everyone hates this question but what are you who bought suppressor lately seeing in lead times? Does one seller have an advantage over another?

will one bought today be here before deer season?

It can take from 4-16 months and the longer you talk about it...the more time that is ticking where you aren't in the queue. Just go buy the suppressor...there is no special place or we'd all be buying from there. It's luck and incase you've lived under a rock the last 3 years...this administration is a mess, the government is a mess and most importantly...they don't want us to have these things, so it's not a priority for them, like it is for us. Until we get someone running the ATF/NFA that actually cares about the 2A and gun ownership this is the way it's going to be.

Finally and again...just go get in line. It'll be a crap shoot if you have it by next deer season or not...but one thing I know for certain, every day you wait that possibility goes down.

I've did 3 efiles since December of 2021. First one from Silencer Shop took 212 days for approval. Second one was from Trammels took 192 days for approval. The last was also from Trammel and took 160 days for approval. Fixing to get number 4 on the way..

I remember when AFT said that efile would be 90 days or less. I see wait times getting to be the same length as paper file.

No FFL has shorter wait times or is any more special than another. I believe it depends on who decides to show up to work and crank out tax stamps rather than sit on their thumbs.

I just submitted two e-forms 4 in the past week. The dealer said he's seeing about 180 day turnaround on them.

We'll see. I have a feeling that the suppressor will get approved before the MG.
