Nah.

Re: The Q Fix ?? - 06/02/20 05:29 AM

Why do these companies always say “We identified a gap in the market...”. But never tell us what that gap is. (cuz it’s all BS)
I didn’t see any parts/functions listed that you can’t get elsewhere, except maybe the 45 degree bolt throw.
Sure as hell not worth over 3K!

The gap would be a 6 1/2 lb chassis rifle instead of the usual 10lb +. Be a great hunting rifle for those that don't sit in a stand. I think $3,000+ and a year wait is laughable.

I'd wait for the Sig Cross to come out. Same concept under 2K.

Re: The Q Fix ?? - 06/02/20 12:41 PM

I have one in 6.5CM. Very light, great shooter, sub moa with Hornady Match ammo. I'm sure it could better with developed hand loads.

I would NOT buy again. Over priced, over rated and spotty customer service. I would suggest waiting for the Sig Cross to be released.

I think they are cool looking and I'd love to have one....but make no mistake about it the owner of Q is known for not having bed side manners. It's the main reason I didn't buy a Q suppressor, I'm not sure how long the business model to piss customers off is sustainable. confused2

Several people here own one, I've seen one in person and will admit it's pretty cool. They use high quality barrels (Bartlein, at one time, I believe) and most are known to shoot extremely well. I would never pay that much for it, though. I see they've dropped the longer barrel option-I think they used to offer a 22".

Re: The Q Fix ?? - 06/02/20 02:09 PM

we all seem to be in agreement. I, too am waiting for my .277 Fury. I think SIG has run into production problems, cuz they have not been released for sale, OR, they are making for LE or Military.

I do like The Fix "Cherry Bomb" muzzle device

Re: The Q Fix ?? - 06/02/20 02:22 PM

It has its merit. It’s stupid light and easy to shoot.it has some cool designs in it. Part of the appeal is understanding what makes it unique. If you want the weight savings he does make a r700 chassis.

Kevin (the owner) seems like a good dude. He just tells people what he thinks and is not afraid to go after other companies. The biggest knock is delivering product. He does have a backlog but dealers regularly get product and sale out of them

$3000 will get you much more rifle, if you take a different path.

The owner is one of the biggest DB's I've ever seen or heard. I would never give them a dime. All of their stuff is overpriced, IMO.

I have cherry bombs on a lot of rifles since I have a Trash Panda Suppressor. Great design. The threads never get dirty because of the taper. You just hand tighten and the heat from the suppressor along with the taper keeps it from ever getting loose under fire. Once it cools, easy to remove the suppressor.

You could build a better rifle using the PorkSword chassis if you want lite weight

Re: The Q Fix ?? - 06/02/20 08:31 PM

I don't know the owner so I can't comment on that. I do have a Q Sugar Weasel though and I don't think it was overpriced at all. I also own a Daniel Defense DDM4PDW. The Sugar Weasel cost less than what I usually see the PDW sell for. The cheapest I've seen a PDW was $1500 and I think I paid $1300 for my Sugar Weasel. Typical retail on them is $1500 for the SW and $1700 or so for the PDW. The SW is nicer looking (in my opinion) then the PDW and definitely more lightweight. I'm not planning to sell or trade either. Love them both.

I don't think I could ever spend $3k for a Fix though, I'd rather buy 3 ARs or AKs smile

Depends on better... it’s light but not the same thing

I wouldn’t mind a pork word in the 338 creed or 8.6 black if it ever gets released...

Re: The Q Fix ?? - 06/03/20 02:36 AM

Glad you made this thread Buzz cause I was considering purchasing one. I want the MPR from Christensen Arms but for some reason the "Fix" is getting my attention more. I don't like the fact that Q doesn't offer longer barrels but oh well

Re: The Q Fix ?? - 06/03/20 03:05 AM

Got an extra 22in creed barrel...

Also the build quality between the mpr and the fix is night and day. The carbon handguard on the mpr flex’s bad, it’s off center, and the two I have played with had sloppy bolts

Sorry, I just meant using their chassis, not that their guns were better.

Yeah the pork sword is cool, but it really different. It is light, but still uses r700 action, doesn’t have the full rail on top, or a good stock.

I think a 12 in 308, 458 socom, or 338 varietal focusing on subsonic in a pork sword would be awesome

Their 375 Raptor in 400 grain subsonic sure seems nice.

With that being said, is it the better option? I know it’s not released yet but I do like the longer barrel for the creed.

It’s pretty sustainable apparently

Probably the same one I’ve seen.

It seemed pretty solid. I don’t know what was fixed or how it shoots, but it seemed like a quality rifle.
