Sig P365

Sig P365 - 10/30/18 05:03 PM

Who has one or has handled/fired one and what do you think?

Seems like a lot of gun with a lot of capacity in a very small package.

Bought one a few months ago. Great gun. Zero issues. Capacity is amazing.

Re: Sig P365 - 10/30/18 09:10 PM

I bought one back in April. Have quite a few rounds through it so far without issue. Love it. I like taking it out to California when I shoot with friends out there. I always take a few guns they can't get out there just to piss them off. grin

I wrote up what I think is a pretty good first range-day report on it. It's on here somewhere still, I'm sure.

I chuckle to myself sometimes looking at it and go.. "that's impressive..."

I shot a clip full the other day out of one. Seemed pretty nice

I have over 2000 rounds through mine. Love it, seems to finally be “the edc” I have looked for.

Re: Sig P365 - 10/31/18 01:25 PM

I was an early skeptic. How could anything so small be accurate, ergonomic and take the place of my beloved G19 or 1911? I got one and I am very impressed. Ran a 1000 rounds thru it so far, zero issues. It is as accurate as any other pistol I own. It is easy to conceal. I can run drills with about the same speed as the G19. The only drawback that I have encountered so far is magazine swaps at speed. The meaty part of my palm catches the mag(empty, full, 12 round, 10 round) and you have to strip it before replacing.

Think you guys are gonna make me buy a new gun. Appreciate all the feedback.

Re: Sig P365 - 11/13/18 03:24 PM

Got one on order. Couldn't find one in store locally. Bass Pro actually had better pricing than Bud's and I had a bunch of club points and gift cards, so BPS it is. Depending on which part of the website you believe, it'll be here in either 2-3 days or 7-8 days.

What's everyone paying? I'm trying to find one in stock, but no luck..Well, a couple places but they wanted $600.

Re: Sig P365 - 11/14/18 04:37 AM

Paid $499 plus tax here in Cypress.....

Re: Sig P365 - 11/14/18 01:44 PM

Bass Pro has them for $529. Not in stock at my location but can order online and they'll ship to the store. That's what I'm doing.

Guy behind the counter said they get 4-6 in per month and they're gone same day so best to order one.

I transferred a few for customers. Seeing them come in about $100 over MSRP on average.

Re: Sig P365 - 11/14/18 03:57 PM

Just did a quick search. Rifle Gear in Plano has them in stock for $549.00. Whittaker is sold out, but showed a price of $499.00. Pretty sure I saw one on TGT last week for $425.00. It sold quick.

Re: Sig P365 - 11/14/18 06:23 PM

I think it's worth it if you can find it for less than $600 with the Sig Xray night sights....It's taken me 25 plus years to find the "perfect" every day carry gun and this is as close as it can get.

Re: Sig P365 - 11/14/18 07:41 PM

Thinking I may just order one from buds. I was hoping to see one in person, but seems it's mostly positive feedback.

Re: Sig P365 - 11/14/18 09:16 PM

I wanted to hold one as well before buying, but quickly figured out that wasn't going to be an option if I wanted one in the next few months. None of the local gun stores between me and work had them in stock...and they all sell for $600 plus.

The one I got from BPS had the X-Ray night sights for $529. I think they all come with those sights.

They do now. The first generation had different night sights.

Re: Sig P365 - 11/16/18 04:33 AM

Picked mine up today. Sweet little gun. Just a hair bigger than my PM 40 but holds almost twice the rounds. Looking at this gun in person, I’m not sure how it holds 11 rounds. Crazy.

Smaller than my Glock 43 and again almost twice the capacity.

Can’t wait to shoot it.

Anyone owned a p938 and p365? Curious how they compare in size and overall?

Re: Sig P365 - 11/19/18 03:05 AM

The P938 Extreme was my EDC for about four years. I picked up a P365 late last Spring. It took a few range trips to completely trust it. Now it is about the only gun I ever carry. I like everything about it better than the P938, including the trigger. I also shoot tighter groups with it. I'm considering selling the P938 and buying another P365.

Very helpful and thanks for the comparison. I loved the p938, and hoping I love the p365 as much..

What are the preferences for holsters for those that have and carry P365?

Whatever you carry a 43 in and like

Re: Sig P365 - 11/20/18 05:38 PM

I use a sticky holster....holds well, and low profile.

I like the Vedder light tuck.

How many are using the 12 round mag?

Re: Sig P365 - 11/21/18 06:16 PM

I vary on mags...neither is that noticeable from a printing standpoint. Just use the last one from the range that’s filled with hollows.

Re: Sig P365 - 11/21/18 11:37 PM

Finally found one in stock at a ok price. Excited to shoot off this weekend. The mags seem very stiff to load. Maybe that will smooth out in time.
