Tax Stamp Questions - 08/07/18 12:15 AM

Does anyone know the correct way to fill out the cashiers check and the correct mailing address for the envelope? I'm seeing too many different answers online and I want to make sure I get it right the first time. Mods should make this a sticky topic since there's so much misinformation around.

I wimped out and used the Silencer Shop. Surely your dealer can instruct you on this ...

Let me add...you can pay with a credit card too. You'll know when they charge your card that they received your paperwork.

Same here Jerm. I bought it on the website and it cashed exactly 1 month after paper was filed. Wish I had more answers but I do not.

I used Lone Star Guns in Weatherford to do all my paper work. They had a machine that did it all!

For my SBR, I had an online account the BATF. Paid with card. You have to use Google Chrome, same with application.

I think you're referring to eForms. Unfortunately eForms is not available for Form 1 and Form 4 applications at this time.

They're pretty quick cashing the checks. Sent mine in July 7th and they cashed the check on July 17th. Hopefully it'll go by quick.

If there's an address in the docs I got from the dealer, I couldn't find it.

This is where I mailed mine.

National Firearms Act Branch
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
P.O. Box 530298
Atlanta, GA 30353-0298

They received it and cashed the check so I'm guessing it is a good address LOL

I'm an FFL/SOT (dealer). My submissions are a mix...some trust and some individual. The individual are coming back quicker compared to the trust that may have 5-6 people on them. Each person shown on your trust must have a background check.

Address can be easily missed, located at the top of first page.

Do not forget to submit in DUPLICATE...both must be originals.
