Whittakers is the best. I bought one of the blued rifles a few months ago, and it's a typical Tikka. Boringly accurate.

It's $50 to have it threaded, or you can get the CTR with a threaded, medium contour barrel, 10-round mag, and vertical grip stock for $800. IMHO, the CTR is the best value on the market for low/medium-budget precision shooting performance.

Uncle Buzz, please just try one and you'll like it. Specifically, I suggest you get one in 223 with a 1:8 twist heavy barrel. You can give it a try and then sell it to me for 50% the price. You'll lose less than you will on those "high end" rifles and we'll both be very happy.

I've had other barrels done. This one doesn't come threaded so I'm out.
