Well, Remington's bankruptcy filing is official as of yesterday. They plan to continue operations during bankruptcy, paying both employees and vendors. According to customer service last week, this rifle will ship mid-year. It's already listed on all retailer sites, but is marked "unavailable" or out of stock. Academy price point is $359.

I think this will be the only factory 16 1/2 inch threaded barrel in 6.5CM available.

Plenty of good rifles out there, with good triggers, from companies that do not have a recent 10 year history of QC issues, a d are not filing bankruptcy. Buy one of those rifles, and have it cut down to 16".
