This will be the Official thread for the pics, videos, and scores of the THF Rifle Match today.

I personally shot a 71 out of 72 it's my personal best.

Had a great time today on my first ever shooting match of any kind. Thanks to Jason, Chad, Kyle and others who put it together and thanks to all the sponsors also. You guys did a great job running an awesome event.

I had a great time as well. Jason and Chad put on a great event.

I didn't actually shoot but kept score so figured I'd just give myself top score on every stage. With the help of Tony's some Zane I center punched all the dots on the 5 dot drill lol.

Ramsey straight up robbed me of 6 points by saying he did not drive all the way out here to watch me not go for it all Missed the last plate on Kyl by less than 1 tenth of a mil I think. Shameful performance but goals were accomplished The group that showed up today was not [censored] around for sure. 3rd to 15th from 2017-2018. I needed one more enthusiastic "IMPACT"

Had a great time at the match yesterday. Thank you to everybody that put it together and kept it running smoothly with all the mud and water they had to deal with. Jason, Chad and Kyle did a great job.

It was definitely a great time and everyone was safe!! More people need to come out to the long range shoot, most of all the rifles that were there yesterday can get it done if the shooter does their part.

Thanks everyone for no A.D's, for making the best of the mud situation, and for staying calm about the couple of target break-downs.

Plan on July for the long range match. We will shoot it all from the zero line like we did this match. Plenty of shade and cooler at the tower and beer garden.

What were the top 4 or 5 calibers used?? Pretty sure I know what Tony was shooting....

First place, 6mm Creedmoor
Second place, 6mm Dasher
Third place, 6.5 Creedmoor
Fourth place, 6.5 Creedmoor
Fifth place, 6.5 Creedmoor

I think 6.5 Creedmoor was the most commonly used cartridge for the match.

I can think of three shooters using .308 Win as well.

well, I knew this was coming. Yes I pussed out but I'm not good enough to shoot off one leg. Heading to Dr. Patel tomorrow for an MRI and game plan to get rid of this pain. Feel like I took a 140gr in the left butt cheek, got spinal jiz leaking out of a disc and a bone flat squishing a nerve.

I don't think I needed to be on the line, full of muscle relaxers, Naprosyn and Hydrocodone. Not a good mix with a rifle in my hands.

Now, how's that for an EXCUSE???

I was going to come in second this year too. From what I can tell, Tony was untouchable as usual.

Guys (and Gal), that was a fun match!! It's always good seeing everyone from THF and spending some time together on the range. The laughter and good times around the range are a lot of fun. I wish we could do this more often and get together. There are some good shooters that come to this event. And there are some that get better every year, and some that have new struggles with gear or equipment, which can be frustrating. We'll do it again soon!

I gave him a hard time about the prairie dog target breaking down, and it was before he even shot the stage. While it was being repaired, I told him, "This is what happens when we get guys shooting prairie dogs with a 300 WM." He really did take it well.

Lots of fun putting faces with names. And not that I was surprised by this, but there are some legitimately very good shooters on this forum.

Sorry guys, son texted me pics of my RV with a big gaping hole in the roof from a tree that went through it apparently from the last storm. My head wasn't in the game after that. Had a great time and accomplished what I wanted to. Even had a fun time blowing up some targets with my Win Mag. BTW, there was real nice respectful young man introduced himself to me as I was leaving but I do not remember his name. If this is the kind of young men coming up behind us , I thing we are going to be ok. As always a lot of good guys showed up, looking forward to the next one.

So, the way this all started, I needed some info as far as shirt orders go. I said out loud, where is that damn Kyle? 2Beez said "damnit, Kyle", and Kyle wasn't even on the property yet.

When Kyle got there I said "damnit Kyle, where you been?". Rest of the day, Kyle kept the scoreboard up to date, and each time I had a score sheet to give him, I would holler out "Damnit Kyle" and he would say "I'm here!"

Funny, funny stuff!

Kyle is a good egg. I may give him too much hell at times honestly.

Thanks JG, Chad and Kyle. All in all a beautiful day and thankfully break from the rain. All gathered at zero line for the day which I think added to socializing a bit more. My brother in law had a great time and is all ready planning for next year and adding another relative. Me, well went from mid pack last year to the bottom. I was off all day but that will be corrected but long way to go to catch the several very respected shooters. Fun day for sure.

Ran the Mule roof top (1 round 200, 1 round 300 strong side (right) then change to support/weak side (left hand, left shoulder, left eye) 1 round 200, 1 round 300.

Thanks to those that hosted and worked on this. I learned a lot and had a great time. Sorry I had to leave before the cooking happened. One more beer and I would been spending the night in my truck.

Had a blast and enjoyed the day out with good people. Jason and Chad put on a fun match and I say that as a shooter, not just their friend. My favorite part was watching my Man child shoot very well and have a blast doing it. This was my first time to try to run a bolt since getting my neck bone fixed (short of putting some meat in the freezer) and despite my ammo issues and a couple rookie mistakes I had a blast as well and look forward to the July match.

Thanks for putting this on yet again, guys. Had a blast. The two guys that came with me (Chase and Charlie) had never shot much other than at a square range or hunting, and both of them left hooked.

Yes, Princess was a bit disappointed in that stage. The laughter when Dammit Kyle put the camera in his face was very memorable. Good job on the video DK!

Appreciate it guys, little long on the driving intro but had to get the music all synced up and ready for the action parts.

I had such a great time last weekend that I decided it was time I join the forum. This was my second time to do the Hunters Challenge and it exceeded all my expectations. Chad and Jason are great hosts and everyone competing was friendly and helpful, it was a safe and fun environment. Can't wait for the next one!
