Just installed a set of Kensight adjustable sights on my RIA CS 1911 .45 and was shooting some Freedom Munitions remanufactured 230 gr. ball ammo to adjust the sights and do further break in on the pistol. This one sounded a little strange (wonder why). I have had some other issues with this ammo, won't be buying any more.

Aaaaaand one more reason I don’t recommend using their ammo.

+1 I've had similar results. Plus terrible customer service.

One and done for me. I bought this stuff when you couldn't find ammo anywhere. It has certainly been no bargain. bs

Just the thought of REMAN on ammo would be enough for concern. Custom ammo I would think has more time invested but most of that is rifle ammo. I haven't bought any of either in long time for no more than I shoot. Had a friend blow his AR to pieces running some green tip surplus, that issue is still under investigation!

I've had the same thing happen on a hornady rifle round.
