Weatherby bolt

Weatherby bolt - 12/13/17 05:39 PM

Trying to help a buddy out.

He traded for a Weatherby Mark V Accumark in .338 Lapua.

Somewhere in moving the bolt has been misplaced so now he has this awesome gun he cannot shoot.

I thought I was good at google but cannot find anywhere to buy a new bolt. I know for Remington you can buy the whole bolt but can’t find anything for weatherby.

If anyone has more information or ideas I’d love them.

I believe the chance of finding a bolt is near zero.
Contact Weatherby service, rifle will have to be sent to them.

I believe you will have to check headspace with a new bolt wouldn't you?

Yes, if you get a new bolt, you will want to check the head space.

I’m fine with having a gunsmith check it out do whatever work is required I just haven’t even found a place to buy one.

I’ll give weatherby a shout I guess.

Second that it'll have to go to weatherby, tell him to be prepared for sticker shock on the cost of them replacing it.

I'd be turning the new digs upside down until the missing bolt was found.

Call Weatherby 1-800-227-2016.
They are the only way to get a new bolt. I’m sure you would have send the to Weatherby so they can get the headspace right for your gun.

That is some major suck. hell I just blew up a 17rem w/case head separation and sent it back to Remington bolt trashed/barrel trashed going to cost almost as much as a new gun

Lol it might be a 2k gun, but your paying for a name not what it cost to make it.

Most likely in his safety deposit box materials. Wills, marriage license, insurance policies, Rolex, and weatherby bolt.
