Price help - 12/09/17 11:44 PM

Ive bought and sold alot on here through the years. But never had 2 guns get this little activity. Im asking if my price is thay far off, or just a hard gun to sell. Heres the 2 guns, feel free to give me what you think they are worth.
I have a savage 300wsm. It has a brux #6 contour barrel, MPI sendero stock, Burris veracity 4x20x50 scope DNZ rings. Action has been blue printed and trued. I dont know who did the work. I bought it second hand. I have a box and half of barnes vortex, and around a box of federal fusio ammo ill go
Asking 1400obo for setup or
900 for rifle and 500 for scope.

Its a s&w victory,38 special. It seems to me to have a very good trigger, he didnt know if it did have a trigger job done on it, but i would easily say it did. it has all the markings on it, it has crowns, BPN, US PROPERTY, G.N.P, and more. Its has some flaws, grip has damage, barrel has been shortened, and front sight replaced. Im asking 300obo or trade.
What do yall think these are worth? Not in a bind to sell, just never had so little interest.

That's what the test forum is for: figuring out how to get your pictures to display properly. My experience has been that better pictures == quicker sales.

Did you read this?

Photobucket is NOT your friend, unless you want to cough up some $$$$ to be able to share your pictures. Read what syncerus posted or try something like IMGUR.com .

Pictures of the condition of the firearms/optics whatever really can help make or break a sale.

I don't have the best answer for you because I haven't price those particular guns.

Your price may be good but I wouldn't consider either of those desirable to the masses.

That's just my honest opinion.

I've found this true as well, anything tagged "magnum" is harder to Sell

Go check the used gun racks and see

Are you sure the pistol is marked GNP
It should be GHD.
That asked those pistols are not real popular even with collectors. Unless marked Lend Lease

It does have a ghd after the us property, then a bnp or gnp on cylinder and barrel

You've got a few things going against you -

Christmas time - either folks are buying Christmas presents or not buying anything, and neither of your guns are likely to be Christmas presents.

High-end Savage rifle values have taken a hit. Tikka and Bergara offer fantastic rifle packages brand new for hundreds less than what you're asking for a used Savage. I think you'd have better luck on that one with a "want to trade" type deal. I've got a buddy on here who trades stuff all the time and he always seems to do pretty well, especially on something exactly like that.

You're past the start of deer season, which is when most folks would be buying bolt guns.

As said before, 300WSM isn't a really popular caliber.

The Burris Veracity is a weird price point for non-tactical scopes. I think most folks would prefer other brands in that price range (Leupold, Swaro for a few bucks more, etc.).

You have to have pictures, especially of a highly modified revolver in questionable condition. Nobody even knows what they may or may not be interested in without pictures.

That, and revolvers appeal to a fairly audience group in the first place. Being a .38 Special probably doesn't excite anyone much at all.

I agree with Patriot on the photos. A picture's worth a thousand words...and doesn't bore anyone. Listing some swap options never hurts, and you never know when someone will offer up something you didn't think of, but suddenly realize you need.

I think that if you add it all up, you don't have a price problem, you have a marketing or presentation problem instead.

Just given the nature of what it is, I think you might have to have some patience with it too. JMHO

A smaller market doesn't necessarily mean a lower sale price, but it usually does mean a slower sale unless you're willing to really let it go cheap.

Ya thats what i really dont want to do. I feel like ive gone too cheap already, but i figure thats where it would need to be to sell.
