BOOOOO! That's okay, I'd rather have the .308 for hunting. But if the .308 proves worthy, I'd be interested in seeing the long range in 6.5 if the prices keep coming down.

do some comparison ballistics, you might be surprised. the prices on the long range will most likely be the $1800. range when they hit the market, do you know the difference between the hunter and long range other than the barrel length?

At $1800, I don't see how they're going to sell those. How much is the Hunter?

I've seen several commercials for the MSR line and want one in 308, but I hope the price point is lower than 1,800.00.

LR has 20" barrel vs 16, Magpul PRS adjustable stock versus regular stock, upgraded trigger, side-charging handle. Not sure that's all worth $600, but we'll see what the market bears.

About $1100-1200 right now.

Interesting, thanks for the info. Both are pretty awesome. I agree that it'll be interesting to see how the market feels about them.

I am going to guess the hunter will be in the 1200-1400, seen a couple of 308s, can't remember for sure but in that ball park, I am waiting on the 6.5, less than 10 lbs...as is the 308

I waited for 5 months for one on backorder at Cabelas before I gave up.

Here are the lastest prices from slickguns. As you can see, almost no one has them in stock (red).

You can get into a semi-custom bolt gun close to $1800

You might also check the M&P 10 that was recently released in 6.5CM.

Yes, but gas-guns have their uses.
