Be honest you heathens. Who else gets a buzz and orders stuff they wouldn't order otherwise? Buzzsaw and CharlieSierraDelta are already confirmed kills. Me too of course. Who else? Don't lie btches.

What causes that? I can get hammered and buy anything on earth, but it's always gun stuff. I ordered a 6.8 barrel last night and I haven't even shot a single round through the 6.8 upper I have now. That damn Pilsner flavor tho....

Re: Drunk Gun Buys - 07/05/17 03:40 PM

Got drunk in Shreveport at the casino, made my way back to the hotel room, was surfing on my phone at a Redhawk rifles promotion that popped up in my email, and then ordered a high end pair of binoculars on a complete whim much to my wife's dissatisfaction the next morning. Spur of the moment decision, but hey, they're super clear optics!

Pretty sure the only thing I have gotten drunk and bought that I probably didn't need was more beer, Whataburger, and ihop... the Whataburger and ihop are debatable weather I needed them or not.

I always went to a Whataburger if I was close to one...everytime. it was a must stop. Back in my small town, we'd stay up until the donut palace open then hit up some boudian kolaches

Re: Drunk Gun Buys - 07/06/17 06:17 AM

A couple of years ago, my local FFL called me up to say my M&P-10 had arrived.

Come to find out, I had a "price alert" set on my email and it hit my phone in the middle of a good-time session with some out-of-town buddies. They egged me on and I did the deal. I had completely forgot about it the next day, even the next week.

I didn't feel so bad when I picked it up. He had one on the wall priced at about $1500 and I got mine shipped in for under $1k.

That's when I make my best purchase, I get what I really want and don't settle for lesser quality. Even if I never shoot it, hahaha

I resisted them for years, but when I finally tried a pair on I was sold. They just fit my feet better and are more comfortable.

As far as the OP, I would have to say I'm guilty too. Thank God it has never been something I couldn't afford.

Just saw on NBC news, "WE" aren't the only one drunk buying. Huge amounts of people do the same thing, its almost an epidemic

Yes but I also do it sober

Re: Drunk Gun Buys - 07/09/17 01:28 AM

That's possibly how I ended up with a sharps bros hellbreaker lower when they first came out..... turned into a high dollar build. Sometimes it just takes one "little" purchase to get the ball rolling.

Heck I don't even buy anything sober
until I've about worried myself to death.

It's not easy living with cheapassedness.

And those boots aren't bad but IMO not really
worthy of a coffee table presentation.

Re: Drunk Gun Buys - 09/05/17 11:59 PM

You guys only buy guns and gear from online retailers when drunk?

Where is your sense of adventure, cruise the THF classified section and buy some stuff from us sober guys!!!

in fact this whole thread has given me an idea , tell me your favorite drink and I'll bring a case of it over (limit 25 bucks) and enable your drunken state and then when you make the move to go online I'll PM you all the rifles you didn't know you needed.

Delivery will occur the next morning with Whataburger taquitos or IHOP flapjacks.

Re: Drunk Gun Buys - 09/08/17 04:19 PM

Never a drunk buy but lately I've had some sleep deprivation buys. The other night apparently I bought a new stock and bottom metal. It felt like a dream. Next day I woke up thinking....I don't really need that stock and bottom metal - glad it was just a dream. Couple hours later I get a shipping notification eeks333

Re: Drunk Gun Buys - 09/09/17 05:00 PM

The best drunken purchase story that I have ever heard was from one of my clients. He was on ebay and bought a Saleen s7 twin turbo in the middle of the night about 10 years ago. It is still sitting in his garage and is such a POS that it hardly ever gets driven.
