Dan Wesson Discretion 9mm - 04/17/17 05:08 PM

Was thinking about picking one of these up in 9mm. I have read plenty of reviews, and they are all good. I was wanting to know if anyone of yall have any real world experience with these. They are super sexy, just want some of yalls opinions. I have a couple of DW 1911s so far, and have been very pleased with them so far.

I have the Specialist, IMO no better factory 1911 made . Look at Riflegear.com in Plano, they carry a bunch of DW pistols, they may have a Discretion with a "blem" save a few hundred $$

you dang wont be sorry

I love my 9mm 1911 but I can't get my arms around this one with the suppressor sights and thread protector. Takes away from the clean lines of the pistol IMO.

I do love all my 9mm 1911s. I don't have any of them threaded to take any suppressors. Its a Dan Wesson though, and for the money they are some of the best 1911 on the market today IMO. The lines on this one are a little off though. Just wanted something different. Hopefully I can sell of my guns in the classifieds so I can hurry up and get it ordered.

Don’t want to highjack this but I was just wondering…Are 1911 in 9mm any popular?
When I think 1911, I think 45ACP. If I want to have a 1911 style in 9mm, then I think Browning high power or CZ 75 variants.

I think their popularity is picking up-people like the platform and in my case, with two 9mms in the fold, having a different platform in a caliber I can share ammo with is nice.

Just depends on what you like. I like the 1911 so I have it in 22, 9mm, 10mm and 45ACP. I also have 9mm in Springfield XDM and Glock. I enjoy shooting the 1911 more than the XDM and Glock.

Very much so. I have a Kimber and the Ruger SR1911 both in 9mm. Both are excellent shooter's, and ammo cost is easier on the pocketbook.

Not a DW, but no complaints with the STI. I currently own 1911's in 9mm,10mm and 45.
