Tools needed to assemble an AR lower - 12/01/16 02:17 PM

I just got my SBR stamp yesterday so it's time to assemble the SBR lower. I've probably put 7 or 8 together in the past but it's been at least
10 years or so. Can one of you experts give me a list of the tools I'm going to need for assembly and any good tips. Thanks in advance. Road Dawg

All you need to assemble a lower is a set of needle nose pilers, some masking tape and a set of roll pin punches. An AR armorer's tool helps when tightening the castle nut on the buffer tube, but it is not necessary.

Don't forget a hammer and some LONG allen wrenches for the screw in the grip. You can get just the wrench for tightening the castle nut for around $7 if you don't want to buy the whole armor's tool.

Not required but a pivot pin tool sure makes life easier.

Or just buy a 1/4" clevis pin from lowes or home depot for like $2.

A lower vice block is great to have as well.
