6.5mm/ 300 Weatherby Mag- Feed back - 11/04/16 05:50 PM
Anyone shooting the 6.5mm/ 300 Weatherby Mag? And anyone shooting the factory Weatherby rifles in this caliber? I have had several calls recently about this round in the Weatherby rifles having some accuracy issues with factory ammo. The 127 LRX ammo seems to be the issue. I was curious if there was anyone shooting this caliber and what was working well for you. I will be playing with one of these rifles next week.

Chad
I don't have the 6.5/300 but mine is a 6.5/257. Derrick built it and worked up the load for me. He used the 130 accubond at my request. He told me that it was finicky and had to really play with the bullet depth to get it right and, as it will shoot .5 moa. He was also getting primers blown out with RL22 and switched to Retumbo. Hope this helps some

I have a lot but my opinion is biased.
I have an Accumark and an ultralight weight.
The Accumark is the best shooter. I have shot out to 1000 yards accurately with it. I found the 140 shoots by far the best in it.
Chad if you ever want to shoot one give me a shout. I would send you one of my samples to play with for a while. Maybe work up some loads for it.
