How did I do? Browning A-5

How did I do? Browning A-5 - 10/08/16 11:06 PM

Well the gun show was in town and my oldest was about to drive my wife crazy so we decided to go. Aside from buying $10 popcorn from the Boy Scouts I came across a browning a5. I'd say the over all condition is 80-90%. Couple nicks her and there. The package included an original leather break down case with 3 barrels. 2 are original to the gun and the third is not. 30" Japan vent rib full. 26" Japan vent rib Imp. And a 28" Belgium vent rib modified. I paid $1000 for everything and am ver happy regardless of whether I got a deal or I was raped. Any info, history, advice, etc... would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Joe

If you are happy that is all that matters.

Good looking gun and set.

A-5s are great guns. I've seen them sell from $300 to $1500. It all depends on what they are and who owns them.

But from the pics it looks like you did GOOD. cheers

Recently purchased a brand new in the box, 1965 A5 12 ga with extra 26" Miroku Invector barrel for $1300. I am so proud to have it.

Right after that purchase I stumbled upon 1998 A5 Stalker Invector+ in perfect condition for..........$475.

I could not be more elated.

The same day I picked up my new bighorn tl3 action. I think I'm more in love with the a5! Went and shot some 5 stand after church Sunday and shot 22, 23, and 21. But I shot two 24's with my old trusty wingmaster. All in all I'm happy. The leather case is priceless. Cant wait till pheasant season! It's going to be a good year
