You might need to check your data.
here are some generic muzzle velocities
5.7x28mm - 2,550 fps
.17hmr - 1,830 fps
.22 short - 1,010 fps
.22LR - 950 fps
.22WMR - 1,460 fps
.25 auto - 760 fps
.357 Magnum - 1,235 fps
.357 SIG - 1,350 fps
.380ACP - 955 fps
.38 SPC +P - 890 fps
.40S&W - 1,020 fps
10 Auto - 1,290 fps
.44 SPC - 750 fps
.45 ACP - 835 fps
9mm +P - 1,200 fps
9mm - 1,140 fps
The slowest is .44 special at 750 fps which is 511 mph
The fastest is 5.7x28mm at 2,550 fps which is 1738 mph.
Figure the most common are 9mm at 1,140 fps - 777 mph
or .40 S&W at 1,020 fps - 695 mph
or .45ACP at 835 fps - 569 mph
3,000 fps or 2045 mph is more of a rifle speed. (not saying that there is not a pistol that will do it, but it is not one that you would commonly buy stock) It would have to have an extended barrel and a small, hot loaded bullet.
