Bolt Lift for Winchester 70 - 08/07/16 12:26 AM

I've seen these for Remington but not for a Winchester. Does anyone know where if they're even produced for the M70?

What are you describing? Some sort of tool to open the bolt when it is "locked" shut from, for example, a high pressure load?

No, it's a tactical bolt - however it's removable.. The link below is for a Rem 700.. I'm just curious if they make them for M70.

That's a nice little mod.

Lots of gunsmiths can do that but it will require sending or taking it.

The model 70 bolt handle is outstanding. I would not reduce the guns value by making any permanent modifications to it. The clamp-on fixture shown would be a good idea though, if you can find one for the model 70.

Contact the manufacturer. See what they say.

They don't make one, buy the one for the 700, and take a dremel to it a little at a time til it fits. They include several Orings to act as shims if you hollow out to much. That KRG knob is really nice. I had one on my 700
