Thoughts on the Stockystocks Bobby Hart accublock? I know some people don't care for the aluminum blocks, but I've had good luck with them. I'm thinking about changing the stock on my Rem 270.

I don't know about that particular stock but the B&C medalist style 2 is just a few bucks more and I love that one

I know you do. But this is for a light weight rifle with standard profile barrel

So is it for a skinny barrel? Because the weight listings show the B&C to be lighter if the information posted is accurate. 3 lbs vs 3.5 lbs
Overlooked the standard profile

I think the laminate with alum bedding block would be pretty heavy if you're putting it on a LW rifle. Aside from that, I'd imagine they are ok. I've had one laminate stock from stocky's and it was fine (but not the alum bed block type). If I was doing a laminate today I'd probably try a Boyds though for less $ and plan on bedding it.

If you aren't set on laminate how about a B&C sporter like these:

I have one on a t3 lite 243, they are pretty decent for the money (but it did require some fitting and bedding)

Or for a little more an HS:

Or you could go all out and get an McM, which is probably what I'll do next time..
