Taurus 605

I have a chance to purchase a new Taurus blued 605 for under $300. Can anyone with actual experience with this model tell me pros or cons to purchasing it? Thanks in advance.

I have a Taurus model 85. It out-shoots my Colt, S&W, and Dan Wesson.

I had a 605 for a while. It worked just fine, as good as any other snubbie.

I have had two - a 605 and a 617. I had trouble at the range with short stroking the trigger and locking it up. Probably operator error but it happened enough that I sold them down the river. My SIL picked up a new 605 and first time at the range it broke something internal and locked up real tight. Some folks swear by em, some swear at em...

anyone else?

Had one for a while. It did not like hi-power magnum loads like buffalo bore. Shot fine with most everything else. Try one before you buy it. That little gun has a LOT of recoil. Not comfortable to shoot.
