300 blk SBR upper

300 blk SBR upper - 05/04/16 05:02 PM

was going to build one to utilize my silencerco hybrid. however, i am seeing a good many uppers assembled for very reasonable prices. i am thinking 8-9" barrel with slim forearm coming flush to threads. any advice on what to stay away from or what you liked? not needing match grade stuff, as this gun is obviously not a 1000yd match rife. smile

I have a PSA 12.5 300blk upper with the cold hammer forged FN barrel and a PSA 16" melonite 300blk upper and they're both perfect. The CHF upper was about $100 more if I remember correctly. I can't tell a difference in performance or accuracy between the 2. Great uppers

I got a good deal on a hand lapped Noveske 8.2" upper from my SOT when I was buying. Too nice of a deal to pass up. It's been great.
With AR prices so low, it would be hard to beat the price of some complete uppers available right now unless you wanted a match barrel or something.

Check out DSG Arms. I got one of their in house brand ones which are actually made by Seekins complete with bcg for around $400.

It's Seekins but is stamped with the DSG logo.

I went with 8.5 in from Bison Armory. Assembled with BCG, bolt, keymod/m-lock handguard and it was cheaper than I could build.

Who makes a good .300 SBR rifle, complete package? Would probably want a 10.5" barrel and don't want to break the bank.

Aero Precision makes a complete .300 BLK with a 10" barrel for something like $715. Good stuff.

I wasn't sure about the .300, so I went with Radical Firearms. I paid $199.00 on sale and I've been very pleased.

You'll enjoy building it. I went with an 8" blonde barrel from KAK and a matrix side charging upper to keep gas from blowing back. The only completed side charger upper I think is JP
