So really will I need 2700fps + to compete?
Shouldn't the bullet do the work??

I would definitely try more. My charge is 42.4 of H4350 with 140 ELDM and I also had a great accuracy node at 43.2 with no pressure signs but did not want to push it. You have more room to go.
How far off the lands?

Looking good so far. Wanna develop a load for my 6.5? Lol.

You can't be scared of a little rain to compete

My charge is 42.4 of H4350 with 140 ELDM
THE most common charge for 140 gr. bullet atop H-4350 in a 6.5 Creedmoor.

I started thinking about it last night. We should have a 6.5 creedmoor exchange party where we trade components that didn't work out for us. It seems like bullets are the biggest variation for 6.5 reloaders. Majority appear to be using H4350 and any brass they can find. Rather than go out and buy 3-5 different variations of bullets in 50ct we could trade/sell unused portions of bullets.

The speed gives it the advantage over the 308. Go for it!
That being said, its only one small factor.

I've got 13 139 scenars and 50 140 hybrids is anyone is interested. I'm pushing 130 berger hybrids at 2920 fps

Great idea, maybe at a happy hour or lunch somewhere. We could have our own little swap meet.. Could even get bigger,

Well Buzz, there is more room to get more speed for sure. But if you like it at the current speed, just run it! You know it shoots good, and practicing with this load will make you a better shooter with less recoil. Plus, it will prolong case life since it's not a hot road load. The Hornady brass is known for loosening up primer pockets when you get up in the higher speeds. There's nothing wrong with a 50-80 fps slower round, other than a little more drop and slightly more wind drift.

Only reason I suggested more throttle is because I think it will shoot tighter. I almost never chase velocity. Consistency is far more important. Lots of 6.5 Creedmoor like 42.4 gr of H-4350, same as lots of .308's like 44.0 of H-Varget under a 175, 178 gr bullet.

I know of at least one bar that is golf cart distance for you and a bike rides distance for me.

My 140 load is 42.3 of H-4350 with a BR-2 primer. 42.5 is a little hot in the middle of the summer.
If we were doing a 6.5 bullet trade thing, this is what I have:
77 of the Sierra 142 Matchking (#1742)
1 unopened box of 100, Berger 130 VLD Target (# 26403)
I am looking for either the 136 Scenar L, or the 123 Sierra MK.

Which bar are you referring to? I think a happy hour would be great to meet and I've got a few things I doubt I'll use. Set it up gents.
