Having worked in the industry for a dozen years and attending SHOT, it is something to see once or twice in your life. We sat and figured out that with over 2000 vendors, if you spent every minute you could be there going from booth to booth, you would have 6 seconds per booth.
Not to mention the difficulty in finding the time to go see something 'new'.
That said, I don't miss working it. As a retailer, it's hectic trying to get to every one of your main vendors. As a vendors, it's long hours and trying to actually get some sales done in a timely fashion.
If you really enjoy gun shows, this is the Taj Mahal of them. Everything from police gear to tactical to camping to hunting is in the building. Not so much for the archers, they have their own show. The only problem is, you can't buy guns there. You may be able to place an order if you're carrying an FFL with you. And some vendors will sell display items at the end but, finding them can by half the fun.
