New stock, bottom metal, and 10rd AI mag

New stock, bottom metal, and 10rd AI mag - 12/06/15 06:52 PM

Just picked up this beauty on a trade for a Handi rifle in 45-70 and a box of shells. Couldn't be happier. Was going to buy the magpul hunter, but I think I got an even better stock, an actual metal bottom metal and mag for substantially less than the magpul setup would have been.

Stock is a bell and Carlson medalist tactical black with grey web.

It feels great, the vertical grip feels natural, and the cheek riser is the perfect height. Now I just need to get the barrel chopped of by Morgan after deer season, and at some point upgrade my scope, and I'll have exactly the rifle I've always wanted. Great handy hunting rifle that is fun to shoot on the range to practice often, and inexpensively during the off season.

It's nice to find what you want and get a good deal on it.

I am very curious about your photo, specifically the old Chevy tailgate. It looks as though it's sitting on a nicely finished table or something. What have you made here?

It's a cedar bench. We bought it as main street days in grapevine last year.

Doesn't look real comfortable, but the cool factor is all there!

I didn't think so either, but we likes the way it looked. Turns out, it's shockingly comfortable. The way the tailgate is shaped, you naturally fit into the recessed part. It's comfortable enough to easily sit for an hour or 2.

By the way your rifle looks good too.
