Magpul Hunter Stock for Remmy 700 SA?

Magpul Hunter Stock for Remmy 700 SA? - 10/21/15 05:38 PM

I guess I'm late to the game on this one but has anyone used one yet? For ~$250 it seems like a nice option. It's called the Hunter but seems it's directed more towards long range shooting, which is what attracted me to it. Pros/cons? Thanks.

For that kind of price, it's worth a try. It looks like it has some nice features.

Wish they made one for Savage 10's I'd give it a shot, with their bottom metal.

Why no mag? Am I missing something?

Mag option is extra. Have to buy the conversion kit

Yep an extra $70 for mag conversion and then $35 per mag for their PMag 5 which fits AICS bottom metals.

So it's not that mags are a bad thing, it's just you don't find them worth the extra $105? That's understandable.

Oh no, I'd for sure buy the conversion kit with the stock if Magpul made it for a Savage 10. Love me some PMags, they are cheap and flat work.

Maybe I worded it wrong in my previous post. Meant to say I'd for sure try one out for the price and would also buy their new bottom metal to use the PMags.

Ha! Okay, I totally misunderstood. Sorry. I was thinking for $355 I can have, what appears to be a good aluminum bedding block, w/adj. cheek riser stock that'll take mags plus 1 mag. Seems cheaper than most other options & appears to be a nice set-up. Now if we can get someone to chime in w/1st hand experience w/it.

I would be willing to write up an extensive review after we raise the $335 in a GoFundMe account for said stock

I have one of these stocks for a build I have in progress. The bottom metal and magazines haven't been released yet. But, I plan on adding them as soon as they are. I hope to have my rifle together in the next few weeks. I'll post the instant I get to shoot it and I'll let you guys know what I think.
I have sold a few to dealers and they all love them and have asked for more. The only complaint was that the bedding block does not go down the forend. However, it is very rigid without it and did not seem to impact accuracy when the bipod was attached.
Thanks!!
Matt
