Uberti 1873 Special Sporting .357mag for Silhouette Comp.? - 10/20/15 01:58 PM
I was at ARC (Austin Rifle Club) and they were having a silhouette match and it looked pretty interesting and I am in the exploration stage of getting into this kind of competition; and wondering if anyone has experience with the Uberti 1873 special sporting in .357mag?

After talking with one of the guys at the range he said he uses a Marlin in .32H&R but they are long out of production and if you find one they are now $2K, and he said his wife uses a .357 lever gun.
I have read good online reviews on the Uberti rifles and I'm thinking that it would be a good fit for the competition and a good all around rifle to have for fun.
Any advise and or comments on this rifle and also what would be a good after market open sight for competition would be appreciated.
