Christmas in Oct- Glock G40 in 10mm is on it's way!

I don't get excited over too many things, but I am happy to say I have 2 Glock G40 pistols in 10mm Auto coming my way! Finally a supplier came through with some! Range report due very soon!

which optics are you going with? Both the same (boring!)?

No optics. I'll keep the adjustable sight in the rear, and probably upgrade the front sight to a smaller fiber optic dot, or something similar.

is the 40 their new long barreled one? its VERY cool. The new Dan Wesson Silverback is calling me but I like the 1911, my old age showing

Both!!! I plan to take something with my 10mm this season.

Look forward to that range report. Love Glock's but the 10mm is one cartridge I've never fired.

The new G40 is absolutely great. I have a few boxes thru mine and it is a blast to shoot. Not sure if I prefer the red dot site over the original sight but it has a very cool mounting system should one desire the red dot. The additional length eats up some of the recoil which feel a little better than the G20. I am looking forward to whitetail season! Chad, i look forward to your follow up post once you get your pair out to the range.

I finally shot my G40 in 10mm yesterday! It is a freakin' awesome pistol. The heaviness of the pistol really tames the recoil of the 10mm. I was sighting it in and it was shooting very well. I knew when one went outside of the group that it was me and not the pistol or the ammo.

I need one of those really really bad!!!!!!

Shot mine for the first time Monday. It had an RMR on it when I bought it. Very happy with the pistol. Underwood ammo is on the way. This pistol will change the way I hunt.

Are the triggers on these 10mm's worth a hoot? hunting handguns really need crisp dependable triggers. Hard to see this from a striker fired handgun. I have a great trigger on my XDm but I don't know if I would hunt with it??

I held one of these yesterday at the gun show, my stubby fingers still wont work on the old style glocks

It's a standard Glock trigger. It does well for a factory trigger. I may upgrade it to a Glockworx fulcrum trigger later on, or a 3.5 lb adjustment.
