Camo Shotgun Dipping - 10/07/15 01:53 AM
I'm looking for a good place to get my black Benelli SBEII shotgun camo "dipped." I'm not sure if that's the right term for it but I'm wondering if anyone out there knows of a credible gunsmith who could do a good job. Obviously, it seems like something that can be easily messed up so I'm trying to find a very reputable source. Has anyone sent a shotgun back to the manufacturer to get this done?
Also, if anyone has had this done before and can comment on pricing and satisfaction that would be great. One big reason I want it painted is to help with rust reduction so any comments in that regard would be helpful too.
If there are any known gunsmiths in the central Texas area, that would also be helpful.
Thanks!

I'm about to send mine here:
http://www.camo-solutions.comIf you read through their website, they sound very credible and knowledgeable. Prices are decent and they have the pattern I want: Original Mossy Oak Bottomland!

Hey, do you know if they can "dip" over a "dip"?
I have a SBE II and noticed while dove hunting , it is starting to show some age and would like a "fresh dip"

DoveShooter, any info regarding how yours turned out? Also, how quick was their turn around time?
Thanks

I'm getting it back from the gunsmith next week (had to get the stock cut down) and then I'm sending it. I'll post pics when its all done.

Lonestar Outdoors dipped a Yeti lid for me. They dip firearms too.

They should come up with a "worn" or "distressed" pattern that would actually be enhanced by a bit of wear.
