6.8 Suppressed SBR

Anyone use a 6.8 suppressed sbr? If so, what barrel/length, gas block, and can are you using? What's your max effective range on game? I'm maybe interested in getting an upper for hunting, curious if anyone has had any first hand experience.

Edit: and please don't bring up 300 blackout, I already have one!

I run an ARP 12.5" barrel, SLR Rifleworks adjustable gas block and Silencerco Saker 762. I am comfortable killing pigs out to 200 yards but have taken a few coyotes around 250 yards. I like the 12.5" because I can still push the Hornady 120SST to 2,410 FPS

Great info. I'll be purchasing a 6.8 SBR upper (probably from Bison Armory) this fall with a SPECWAR to follow in the spring, hopefully. The 120SST will probably be my load of choice as well.

Anytime Sir. The 120 gr SST on pigs is a great choice and if interested in an 12.5 ARP barreled upper contact me.

I know the ARP barrels are supposed to be some of the best. Are you getting sub moa out of the 12.5"? Are you shooting factory loads, or reloads?

ARP barrels are very accurate, below is a pic of a group at 50 yards w/13.5" ARP and Saker 7.62 can. It is 13.5" because I am running a Mega Arms MTS and the 12.5" was to short. I mostly shoot reloads w/95 gr TTSX. If I am not shooting these I am running factory Hornady 120 SST.

I have a 12.5" arp barrel as well and its very accurate. I run a yhm titanium suppressor on it. I get 2420 with the hornady 120 sst and 2680 with the factory federal 90 grain xm6.8. Im getting same velocity out of my 12.5" barrel wth 120 grain sst that my dad is getting out of his 18" 300 blackout using the 110 barnes. I bought a bunch of the federal xm6.8 for 12.99 a box and its surprisingly accurate.

Wife slaying the first animal with it!

The 120 hornady sst is on left and the federal xm6.8 that uses a 90 grain speer gold dot is on the right(2 shots). Shot into water at 100 yards.
