Alamo precision has them marked down to $299 for the blued and 359 for the stainless. Pretty impressed with this rifle for the price

Yeah I would. I bought one on sale for $265 about 6 months blued in 30-06.

I have two Ruger Amricans and both a very good guns. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
