Just wanting to hear some first hand experience of people who have owned Sig 1911's. I am looking for my first 1911 and the sigs have caught my eye. Not new to pistols at all, just 1911's. Just wanting to hear your opinions. Thanks!

I have a C3. It is more accurate than the Kimber and the Colt I once owned. The Sig was very tight and jammed fairly often when it was new. It cycles much better after two or three hundred rounds. I am no expert but I think some of the Sig 1911s have a slightly different slide than other 1911s.
I LOVE my XO stainless. I've owned Kimbers and a Springfield and the SIG is by far my favorite.

I'm trying to find a nightmare carry for my new carry weapon, just can't seem to sell my G27 lol.
I like Springfield, personally.

I've had a Sig Scorpian for a year now and it is absolutely fantastic. Smooth slide never a hiccup and extremely accurate. Nice trigger for a factory gun as well. I also own a Sig P938 which is a small frame 1911 style 9mm.
I don't think I will ever buy another pistol that's not a Sig.

I love mine. I keep thinking I want to trade it for something else but I just can't do it!

have a gun smith I use occasionally who swears that sig 1911's have the best fit and finish of any of the "over the counter" guns out there... Idk I've not a smith and have only shot a few but I do know that Tac Ops we have in the store is a SWEET feeling gun.

I haven't seen a Sig 1911 that wasn't a nicely built gun yet. A lot of their theme guns are all match grand internals too.

Sigs appear to be fine by all reports, just be aware that the square top on some models won't fit all 1911 holsters.

I have 5 Sig 1911's. I like them all. One is a C3 which, is my daily carry gun. One is a 5" that is reserved for 45 Super duty. All of them are quite accurate. Collectively they have been through about 1000 rounds with not a single malfunction.
I know the original Sig 5" models were all outsourced to Wilson for internal parts. Don't know if they still are. Sig originally catalogued a 10mm 5". I hate I missed out on one of those. But, the 45 Super will do 1285 fps with 200 gr XTP's so that's good enough for me.
Thanks for all of the advice . It looks like they are a good option for the price.

Heck of a gun for price point. They are a lot more stout than kimbers or many springfields. They use a lot less mim parts compared to others. I have the 3 mentioned and although they all are accuarate the sig is what id bet my money on for durability any fay of the week. I have a sig stx 1911 and its a beauty. I had a trp full rail, now range officer, kimber tac entry ii, wilson combat cqb, and the sig stx. In all honesty i cant say i shoot the wilson any better or the sig hasnt been as reliable. Keep i mind they are all 2k rounds or less.
Have you all had any issues finding leather holsters for the sig shaped slides?

You can also get the Sig 1911 "traditional" which has the rounded slide and will fit most all 1911 holsters.
