Any decent shotgun smiths in DFW? - 06/11/15 04:43 PM
I have a Winchester SX-2, during turkey season I fired an apparently double loaded 3.5" shell, it knocked me over and bolt slammed back so hard it broke the charging handle off, it did flip the turkey almost 2 times. anyway, to get the barrel off i have to put the receiver in a vise and use a hammer to get it off, and now I can't get the barrel back on.
I wanting to have someone that knows what they're looking at, take a look at it to decided if its fixable or not...

Try Mat Bryant at the Berretta Gallery in Dallas (Highland Park). I think he lives and has his shop up near you. He's is a really great smith.
Alamo in HEB might.
Sorry about your gun......maybe the excuse to get a new one??

TDK on here knows shotguns in and out. I'm pretty sure he even shot a SX-2 for quite a while.
