What should I get for my BDAY?

I got $500 cash for my BDay and trying to find something to buy.

I have a SBR AR15 and a LR308 so good in the AR department.

I have a Glock 22 for bedside duty and a 27 for carry, might be open to a new pistol, but must be 40 cal.

I have self defense shotgun and hunting shotgun so I'm good in the shotgun department as well.

Was thinking of getting a shorter barreled 308 bolt gun threaded so I can use it with my can. Was looking at the Savage 10FCP-SR which seems to be a Cabela's special and they said they don't have any instock and none on the way for at least over a month. Looked at the REM700 AAC, but it is $699 and you have to replace the trigger and stock right off the bat and then buy some DBM.

Also maybe interested in getting a pistol can, anyone have any experience with the Silencer Co. Osprey 45K?

Also thinking of maybe getting back into reloading, $500 would get me a decent little reloading setup before reloading materials.

I traded a bunch of gun parts I had lying around for knives, and also got a Microtech Halo V for Christmas so I'm pretty good on the knife front as well. That Halo V is like a sword in my hand, not really sure how I'll ever use it, but it was a gift from my step dad so it will just sit in the safe I won't ever sell it, but man at $650 for that knife it is tempting..

Can also add some cash to it from my fun fund.

Would really love to find a Tikka CTR in 308, but just can't find one in the price range.

Go to Academy and pick up a Yildiz 28 ga. OU....inexpensive and a ball to shoot in the dove and quail patch.

Hmmm speaking of 22LR though, I would like to get a 22LR Glock upper conversion with threaded barrel. We put my 223 suppressor on Dave's 22 pistol and it was stupid quiet LOL. Couldn't see the sights, but who needs em..

There was a threaded barrel Savage in the classifieds for around $600

Is this the one you're talking about? Its a REM700, but it already sold or I probably would have bought it. Kind of what I'm looking for.

But for $500 you're going to have to go with low quality in one department or the other but that's your decision to make.

I'd need a reloading setup before I switched to 6.5CM. Would have to get the barrel threaded too, so add another $50 plus $20 for FFL fee and looking at a $900 +/- stock gun.. Could find a Tikka CTR for that much.

Piss your money away if you want to. Personally if you are going to, I'd get the hooker and blow. And skimp on the blow, you wont know the difference, but you will know a bad hooker.

Ffl buddy had a line on a few at $450 . Gave him $250 deposit , form 3 came in . Went to pick it up and pay the remainder and he said don't worry about it consider it a gift for our soon to come new baby ( boy #3 )

Hand augmentation so you can grip a real pistol.

If you really want the CTR, I doubt you'd be disappointed. I picked one up in .260 a few weeks back, and it shoots very well. One of the least picky, easiest to shoot rifle I've messed with yet.

Yes it was, but it was rocking the accustock when that was shot. I have to learn to slow down and not rush my shots. next year I will do better.

It did pay off, helped me convince the wife I needed a gun since I had to provide my own. Got a lot of trigger time and learned a lot about estimating range using the scope, and hand calculations. It was easy to figure out, ya know, using MOA/MOA

My wife's gun is 6.5lbs too...

$500 sounds like a good start on a quality 1911 to me.
