i just bought a encore pistol in 270 now I am looking for another barrel. my main interest is predators and javelina. i'm down to three calibers. the 223, 22/250 and the 243. does the 223 have enough out of a 15 barrel for say 200 kills. the 7mm/08or the 6.5 creedmore seem to be over bore.

Assuming you mean 200 yard kills, if so, absolutely it does.

What's wrong with the 270? I'm working out the plans for either a 243/7-08/308 pistol, just got to work out the legalities which will prob require an SBR stamp
I had the 7.08 for a while was really really fun. killed deer, hogs and some gators with it. 150 was my farthest shot
7mm8 encore was one of the worst buys I ever made

good excuse to buy another 15" barrel. leaning towards the 243. anyone shoots this in a pistol.
7-08 was the best pistol barrel I had

You could always go with the 460S&W, it's good @ 200
