It may not need a recoil buffer...I think most of them are blowback operated so don't require that for operation - at least that was the case with the Plinker Arms unit I had.

that is true this CMMG upper has its own spring. But decided to install buffer assy. that way will always have a functional extra lower in case of finding future uppers thanks hetman

Id put a red dot or a peep on it... just my thinking but when I think of a platform like that I would have no use for a scope. guess you can just pop them off and on huh

well at the time I don't have a free red dot in da house but will have 2 extra scopes that I will be replacing on my & wife's hunting rifle's. guess I could sell them on the forum & buy a red dot

You can pick up a Bushnell TRS-25 for less than $100... great inexpensive red dot for a .22lr AR.
