I laid mine on the ground, tightened the wrench and used a piece of pipe on the wrench for leverage. If you don't have a cheater pipe try applying pressure with your foot

Be careful! You might need a clamshell for the upper, and a vice to hold it. I've done it several times and it's usually a no-brainer, but if yours is too tight, there is a real danger of breaking your gun.

We had a problem removing one from an AR recently. We ended up using some Kroil penetrating oil and letting it sit for a while. Still took a little bit of muscle, but it came off.

i tried penetrating old. With no luck. I will look for a clamshall and see if that works.

Big crescent wrench to get a lot of torque on it...

Make sure it's not pinned. Might have to heat it up slightly with a heat gun. I've seen loctite on some before.

i will check for a pin. I tried standing on the lower and trying to remove it but it would not move. Might have to have a gun smith look at it. I dont want bend the upper or barrel since I dont have a clamshell.

Clamp the barrel in a vise between a couple pieces of wood.

I'd try to heat it (mildly, of course) and see if it will move then, since you're already tried the oil with no luck.

use a vise. if you need help. just shout out. having the right tools will keep you from jacking the barrel.

A vice and a couple of wood blocks to clamp on the barrel. Loosen with a 3/4 inch wrench

I had this problem a couple weeks ago...took a lighter and heated the end for a few seconds and it came off easier.
