Needing to find a good smith preferably in the DFW. One that has experience in mauser's would be a plus. Need to get a barrel cut, chambered and installed on a mauser action.

Aggie1980 knows a good one. I've been wanting to try that guy. I never can remember his name

Ok is Scott the guy I keep thinking of? He's supposed to be a Mauser fanatic.

Visiting with him at his shop, I would say he is. He is looking forward to working on a CZ 527 for me and we discussed a little custom that I have it is a mishmash of parts. Action is a combination of 1903 and Mauser cut down and put together for just the right size for the 44 Magnum using Remington 788 mags.

Where is he located Kevin? I need my K98 Mauser headspace checked and set back possibly.

TDK knows that action well, you can shoot him a PM and discuss.

I wouldn't hesitate to let him work on anything I own.

Scott is doing my Creedmoor build and seems like a great guy to deal with.

Didn't TDK open his own shop?
