Who carries in a Crossbreed holster?

I carry my 1911 in a crossbreed and love it. Except it squeaks A LOT. I mean it sounds like a cheap saddle on a horse.

Is there a good way to stop that?

I've never had one squeak but maybe some leather conditioner for like boots or shoes would soften it up?

Horse I believe. It's been a few years since i ordered it. I haven't carried it extensivel for several reasons, the squeak being one of the major ones.

Mine still squeaks a little after a few months of regular carrying, but significantly less than when I first got it. I think the leather conditioner is worth a try, too

A folded square of TP placed between the leather and the metal clip will silence the thing. At least that is what is working for me!

My Christmas present to myself was a new Crossbred holster. I got the horse hide, and it also squeaks. If you read the info on the holster, it says it needs some leather conditioner to prevent the squeaking. I'll apply it this weekend, and see if it helps. It is a great holster so far. I have been carrying my G29. I can also carry my G21 in 45, and my G20 in 10mm, since it has the open end at the bottom of the holster. It's a keeper.

Natural which is horsehide right?

Yes horse hide is the better of the two.

What is the best set up to go with these? In or out? I have a pocket 380 and a kid size glock

Patrick, come see mine next time you are over. I really like this holster. I go IWB at 3 o'clock.

I like the cross bread IWB at like 4 o clock or straight gangsta style in a pocket holster in the front of the waistband.

I have one for my KAHR use it all the time. Google crossbreed seconds. Have to send cash but it will save you some money. You loose the free trial.
