Anyone has this gun thinking about adding it to my collection?

Mossberg isn't usually my first thought when it comes to quality center fire rifles. That being said, I'd imagine it would do just fine depending on your needs.

IMO, I would save a little more $ and go with another brand. Just my opinion

If you are looking for a value based rifle, the savage 11/111 Nikon pro staff combos are hard to beat for $499. Ruger American would be another good option.

Good shooting guns for the money. The one I had would put bullets into each other if I did my part. A friend was so impressed he had to have it. I uld buy another but have plenty of truck / loaners in the safe

Heard the atr's kick hard and not very accurate... Never shot one though. Buy a savage!

Bought one of the Maverick youth versions for my son in .243. Not real happy with it, as it does not always strip a round from the magazine and load when you work the bolt. Nothing like having the sights set on a deer and getting a click instead of a bang.

Bought a Mossberg MVP 308, looks like the Ruger Gunsight. Holds good at 100 yds. 18 1/2" barrel, don't notice a hard kick not worse than 270, heavy barrel . Have to work bolt on the strong side, not gentle. I like it.

Sighted in a 270 ATR for a coworker several years ago, got just under 1 inch 3 shot groups with Remington corloct 130gr ammo. Not bad for that price point gun. Action was a little rough but shot well.

They are awesome guns for the money. Accurate right out of the box for a very reasonable price. Yes you can buy a more accurate rifle for 3 times the money. Don't listen to these people about what they " heard".
