How often do you clean your carry gun?

Curious how often you clean it, and if you just use the tradional cleaning methods, CLP , etc. or do you take it to get ultrasonicly cleaned at a shop?

well..i was unpleasantly surprised when i did go to clean it. i figured if i never used it, and it was oiled... i shouldn't have to clean it?
well, i pulled er' out and took er apart, and i found alot of fuzz and lint all over the inside. so now i am cleaning it once every 2 weeks at least.
think i saw reminisce of doritoes too,but wasn't for sure...the taste test was oily

every few weeks for me as well, unless i go hunting or out to the lease to do alot of work outside. then i clean it when i get back

After every third legally killed man. I clean mine.

Not nearly as often as I should...

I clean mine a couple times every week, usually right after I shoot it. Even if I don't shoot for a week I clean it Sunday night before work for the week.

Every few months after I shoot it. I won't carry a gun that will jam up with just a little dust.

I doubt my gun would jam after a little dust or powder build up, but I don't like to take the chance and it also gives me a chane to inspect for broken parts. Thankfully my P226 has never had an issue and it approaching 18,000 rounds.

Heck, my G26 already has over 2000 rounds and I've only had it since early October.

It's a glock....it cleans itself when you fire it!

My goal next year is to become more like you. I've been to the range three times this year. Only one was to shoot handguns. I shot IDPA and went a bunch last year. Not sure why I just didn't go this year.
