Replacement stock - 12/02/14 02:36 PM

Looking for a good drop in replacement stock for a bolt action rifle. I recently purchased a JC Higgins Model 51 and was looking for a good replacement stock for it. It has a Mauser 98 action large ring. What are some recommendations?

how much you want to spend is the first question!

go to Stockys Stocks and you can see a range of price options. B&C is a great affordable stock that is really nice, I've got three of them.

I checked out stockys and the B&C look pretty good, are they pretty much drop in or is there going to be any work to make them fit.

Really liked the stock from Boyds, but it did not fit exact and had to be taken to gunsmith to get corrected. Gunsmith also bedded the stock for me.

Checked out boyds also, they have pretty good prices.

Price wise I'd like to keep under $200
