Muzzle brake vs Suppressor..... - 11/19/14 01:18 PM
Guys,
I am wondering if a suppressor, can, is more effective at reducing recoil than a muzzle brake or vise versa? I went to the range yesterday and there were three young guys there and one of them had a 338 win mag that had a suppressor on it. We got to talking and I watched him shoot it and the recoil really looked manageable...so he offered to let me shoot it. Wow! I was surprised at how tame the recoil was! Very manageable! I couldn't shoot it all day but I definitely could shoot it! Frankly spending 1400-1500 to add a can is more than I've been able to get my head around so far so I'm wondering if a brake will provide similar relief from recoil?
Thanks,
Mel
