300 ACC Blackout Subsonic Hunting - 11/11/14 09:12 PM
I am using a Remington model 700, 300 blackout, bolt action, 16” barrel with Thunderbeast 30p-1 suppressor firing Remington 300 ACC blackout 220 grain subsonic. I have heard the following issues with subsonic ammo: 1) Bullet does not expand at subsonic velocity; 2) Bullet goes straight through the animal making it hard to track. Most of the discussions talked about vital shots (lungs, heart). What about head shot using subsonic 300 blackout? Has anyone done this to deer or pigs from 50 yards or less ? What about 100 yard ?
